A Numerical Method for Constructing the Hyperbolic Structure of Complex Henon Mappings
نویسنده
چکیده
For complex parameters a, c, we consider the Hénon mapping Ha,c : C → C, given by (x, y) 7→ (x + c−ay, x), and its Julia set, J . In this paper, we describe a rigorous computer program for attempting to construct a cone field in the tangent bundle over J , which is preserved by DH, and a continuous norm in which DH (and DH) uniformly expands the cones (and their complements). We show a consequence of a successful construction is a proof that H is hyperbolic on J . We give several new examples of hyperbolic maps, produced with our computer program, Hypatia, which implements our methods.

Existence and convergence results for monotone nonexpansive type mappings in partially ordered hyperbolic metric spaces
We present some existence and convergence results for a general class of nonexpansive mappings in partially ordered hyperbolic metric spaces. We also give some examples to show the generality of the mappings considered herein.
متن کاملA Numerical Method for Proving Hyperbolicity of Complex Hénon Mappings
In this paper, we describe a rigorous computer algorithm which can determine if for given complex parameters a, c, the Hénon map Ha,c : C → C defined by (x, y) 7→ (x + c − ay, x) is hyperbolic on its Julia set. Further, we give several new examples of hyperbolic maps, which have been proved to be hyperbolic by a computer program, Hypatia, which implements this algorithm.
متن کاملSOLVING LINEAR SIXTH-ORDER BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS BY USING HYPERBOLIC UNIFORM SPLINE METHOD
In this paper, a numerical method is developed for solving a linear sixth order boundaryvalue problem (6VBP ) by using the hyperbolic uniform spline of order 3 (lower order). Thereis proved to be first-order convergent. Numerical results confirm the order of convergencepredicted by the analysis.
متن کاملInvestigation of Fluid-structure Interaction by Explicit Central Finite Difference Methods
Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) occurs when the dynamic water hammer forces; cause vibrations in the pipe wall. FSI in pipe systems due to Poisson and junction coupling has been the center of attention in recent years. It causes fluctuations in pressure heads and vibrations in the pipe wall. The governing equations of this phenomenon include a system of first order hyperbolic partial differen...
متن کاملThe comparison of two high-order semi-discrete central schemes for solving hyperbolic conservation laws
This work presents two high-order, semi-discrete, central-upwind schemes for computing approximate solutions of 1D systems of conservation laws. We propose a central weighted essentially non-oscillatory (CWENO) reconstruction, also we apply a fourth-order reconstruction proposed by Peer et al., and afterwards, we combine these reconstructions with a semi-discrete central-upwind numerical flux ...
